Bluejacket: Competed for the Kitsap Bluejackets during the summer of 2007 ... Played mainly at second base, but also saw action at shortstop and center field ... Hit .234 with four doubles, a home run, 18 runs scored and 10 runs batted in.

College: During his first season as an Aztec made 20 appearances in the outfield and played second base on four occasions ... Was the starter in left field in the season-opening series at Cal Poly ... In first collegiate game for SDSU, went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI ... Mar. 22 at Air Force when he hit a three-run bases-loaded in his only at bat late in the game ... The next day, went 2-for-5 with four runs batted in against the Falcons including a three-run home run, the first of his career ... In addition to playing in both left and right fields (total of 20 games), has also appeared at second base in four contests and has been the DH on six occasions ... As a pinch hitter seven times, has gone 3-for-6 with a double, a walk and three RBI ... Scored four times in eight pinch-running appearances.

Prep: Earned three varsity letters in baseball and two in basketball at Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, Calif. ... Played baseball there for coach James Davis, a former Aztec pitcher ... Was a two-time first team all-Grossmont South League pick in baseball ... Batted .396 with 39 runs, 18 steals and a .695 on-base percentage as a senior and was named Granite Hills' most inspirational player ... Hit .436 with 22 steals, 49 runs and a .515 on-base percentage as a junior and was selected team's most improved player ... Was also named second-team all-CIF as a senior and finished third in the Grossmont District Home Run Derby with 16 in 2005... As a basketball player, earned the team's Sixth Man distinction in 2003 for the Grossmont League champions ... Also won the prestigious 2005 Dodge Ball Championship, earning tournament MVP honors ... Played on San Diego's International Team which toured Osaka, Japan and competed in the Junior Olympics ... Earned Principal Honor Roll academic recognition.
