College: Second-team all-Mid Continent Conference ... led the team among starting pitchers with a 3.28 ERA during the regular season and a team-best 2.92 ERA during the conference season ... tied for the team lead with three wins in nine appearances and five starts ... compiled 17 strikeouts in 35.2 innings.  Before SUU: Signed with Brigham Young University, but did not play because of a medical redshirt.

Prep: Four-year letter-winner in baseball and basketball and two-year letter-winner in cross country ... named a league all-star in 2002 while playing outfield and first-team all-state and league MVP while playing utility and pitcher in 2003 ... helped the Red Raiders to league championships in 2001, 2003 and 2004 ... two-time league all-star in basketball and the league’s leading scorer in 2003.
