Head
Coach - Matt Acker
(Head Coach, Green River Community College)
Matt is currently the head coach of Green
River Community College. Previously he was the head coach
and recruiting coordinator at St. Martin's College in Lacey,
WA. During his tenure as head coach of the Triple Play Hornets,
Matt led his team to the 2003 USABF National Championship.
Two of his former players are now playing professional baseball.
David Patton is with the Colorado Rockies organization and
Pedro Hawkins is with the Cincinnati
Reds minor league team, the Sarasota Reds. Matt has also
worked for "Big League Connections" in the marketing
of their baseball schools, and is the former president of
the Kittitas Umpires Association.

First
Base Coach - Scott Colby
(Head Coach, Chief Sealth
High School)
Scott Colby joins the BlueJackets
with a background in coaching, teaching and athletic administration.
A 1990 graduate of Evergreen High School (White Center,
WA) where he played both baseball and football, Colby played
college baseball and soccer at Green River Community College
(Auburn, WA) before transferring to Central Washington University
(Ellensburg, WA) where he focused his athleltic efforts
on baseball. A Hall of Fame Inductee at Green River, Colby
was voted Most Inspirational by his baseball teammates in
both of his years at Central.
After leaving college, Colby was blessed with a number of career opportunities: Head Baseball Coach, Pierce College (Lakewood, WA); Athletic Director, ASB Advisor, and Leadership Instructor, Tyee High School (SeaTac, WA); President, Seamount League Interhigh Association; Washington Secondary School Athletic Administrators Association District II Representative; President, Seamount League Athletic Directors; Interim Co-Head Baseball Coach, Tyee High School; Sales Development Representative, Seattle SuperSonics; Interim Coordinator of Athletics, Green River Community College; Head Baseball Coach, Interlake High School (Bellevue, WA); and currently Head Baseball Coach, Chief Sealth High School (Seattle, WA). In addition to these career opportunities, Colby has also taught physical education at Tyee High School, Gregory Heights Elementary School, Rainier Beach High School, and currently is teaching physical education at Chief Sealth High School. Colby will earn his Masters of Arts Degree in Leadership in Sports and Exercise this spring from Seattle Pacific University (Seattle, WA).
With an extensive background in coaching,
Colby has a mix of little league, summer baseball, interscholastic,
and intercollegiate experience. Colby is enjoying being
back in coaching, his true passion, and is extremely excited
about having the opportunity to be a part of the inaugural
season for the BlueJackets.

Pitching
Coach - Matt Rene
(Pitching Coach, Missouri Valley)
Matt Rene was born and raised in Washington
state where he attended Tahoma Senior High School.
He was a three sport letterman at Tahoma and continued
his baseball career at Green River Community College while
earning his AA degree. He then went on to Missouri
Valley College to finish his baseball career and earn
a Bachelor of Science degree in education.
In his first year at Missouri Valley, the baseball team
won the Conference and Regional Championships but lost
in the final game of the Super Regional to Dallas Baptist.
His second year, they were the Conference champions but
lost in the Regional Championship game. Last year,
Matt was the pitching coach for Missouri Valley and now
is back home in Washington where he plans to stay.
He is currently looking for a PE job and is excited about
this summer with the Bluejackets.

Coach
- Bill Geyer
(Former Head Coach Babe Ruth & American Legion Clubs)
Bill has 15 years experience coaching at
two local high schools (North Mason 13 years and Vashon
2 years) during which time he also has been the Head Coach
for local summer baseball programs in both Sr. Babe Ruth
(Ace Paving Baseball
Club) and American Legion (South Kitsap). During the
Summer Baseball programs he has coached High School players
from the following local schools: North Mason, Vashon, Bremerton,
Gig Harbor, Peninsula, Olympic, North Kitsap and South Kitsap.
He is also one of the lead coahces for one of the highest
rated baseball camps "TBI baseball" held in Ephrata.
His full time employment is with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard
where he has been employed for over 28 years.
