2007 Team

The Tacoma Cardinals are a non-league collegiate summer baseball team affiliated with the Kitsap BlueJackets. They begin their inaugural season under Head Coach Matt Rene (Green River Community College) and will play a twenty-six games road schedule from June 3rd to July 16th against teams in the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League (WCCBL) and the Pacific International League (PIL).

As a feeder team for the BlueJackets, Cardinal players are signed under a BlueJacket contract. At the start of the summer season the BlueJackets will carry an initial roster of twenty-four players. WCCBL rules require that all teams set their rosters at twenty-eight players by July 18. The four remaining roster spots, it is hoped, will be filled by Cardinal players as they showcase their talents against the WCCBL and PIL teams.

The goal of the Tacoma Cardinals is:
1) to support local college players
2) add depth to the Kitsap BlueJackets
3) develop future players for the Kitsap BlueJackets
